Abstract

Phraseological homonymy represents a complex and understudied area in linguistic systems, particularly in morphologically rich languages like Uzbek. Despite existing research on phraseological structures, limited attention has been given to the semantic modeling and corpus integration of homonymous phrasemes. Current phraseological dictionaries often omit contextual or dialectal variants, and computational systems struggle to disambiguate homonyms in live speech. This study aims to analyze the formation mechanisms of phraseological homonyms, examine their grammatical-semantic structures, and model them for effective corpus system integration. The study identifies three distinct homonymous models of the phrase “o‘rtaga qo‘ymoq” and their morpho-semantic valence based on noun types—personal, abstract, and object. It also uncovers additional undocumented meanings of idioms such as “qo‘l ko‘tarmoq,” suggesting a broader semantic range than recorded in traditional lexicons. The research introduces new modeling strategies for Uzbek phraseological homonymy, integrating dialectal and context-specific expressions into corpus-based linguistic frameworks. The findings significantly enhance automatic natural language understanding by improving the recognition of idiomatic structures in Uzbek. The study advocates for expanding phraseological dictionaries and refining linguistic models, thereby contributing to improved translation tools, speech analysis, and AI-based language technologies.ty.
