Abstract

As mentioned above, unlike other skills, writing seems a little difficult to acquire. However, there are some important methods proposed by scholars to encourage students to more easily acquire this ability. In his new book How Not to Write Badly, journalism professor Bitchener (2008, pp. 102-118) supports the view that “almost all good writers, without exception, read widely and often. It is clear from this statement that reading is one of the vital ways to improve writing as it broadens the readers' horizons and provides new ideas in an attempt to write.
